PEI Getaway at York lane in Brighton Neighborhood,Charlottetown.
It is a residential area of Charlottetown that contains some of the most beautiful streetscapes, with many of the houses being designed and constructed by our most famous and talented architects and builders.
Read more about Old BrightonWelcome to the beautiful Brighton area of Charlottetown! As a young islander growing up in rural PEI on the south shore, I always coveted this neighborhood and dreamed of living in Brighton one day. Well, of course, my dreams and plans changed, however, loving this neighborhood has not. I am so pleased to own this duplex so close to Victoria Park, where you can enjoy a large public pool and facilities, public tennis courts, large playground structures, a dairy bar that sells ice cream, baseball diamonds, and grounds to explore.
The seaside Charlottetown boardwalk and waterfront are minutes away and run along the Lieutenant Governor’s Mansion — Government House — and Beaconsfield Heritage House. You can walk right to the yacht club, Old Charlottetown, and the harbourfront where cruise ships come in. Explore the shops and restaurants (of course have some Cows Ice-cream), waterfront park, Founders Hall, and so much more!
From the waterfront, you can walk up Great George Street to see St. Dunstan’s Basilica, our largest island church, then roam onto Province House, where Confederation was founded. Next to Province House, you will find the Confederation Centre of the Arts, where you can buy tickets to see the famous ‘Anne of Green Gables’ play.
Behind the Confederation Centre, you can stroll along Victoria Row and dine at one of the many great restaurants and patios. Queen Street offers an assortment of shops and restaurants, including the Downtown Farmers’ Market.
The Brighton Cloverleaf Grocer is a wonderful local grocer just steps outside the front door — just take a right and a right. It has everything you need to get started with groceries for a few days.
